Popular A Cappella group Budak Pantai is performing at the Republic Polytechnic Cultural Centre on 16 and 17 November.
Budak Pantai is not your average A Cappella group. Their sixth member is a guitar. Then again, these five guys are really storytellers. Occasionally, they sing. Their concert title suggests you cannot take them seriously. They have attracted a huge underground following in the more than ten years they have been together; just about everyone says you have to watch them 'live' to understand why they appeal so much to audiences of all ages. Much of Budak Pantai's music reflects this festival's theme "Past forward", so expect the nostalgia with modern twists that will have you completely entertained. Also featured in the concert is an opening act by Republic Polytechnic’s A Cappella interest group - Rhapsody, the two-time winner of the National Acappella Championships (college category) as they sing you original arrangements of old and current hits.
