Singaporean progressive rock band Dulcinea has just released its second album titled "In The Shadow Of The Sun", three years after its 2008 debut, "The Politics Of Fear".
Formed in 2006 by Mathew Thomas and Jason Ng along with drummer Rashid Said,
Dulcinea is the name of a character in Miguel De Cervantes' novel Don Quixote. After releasing their debut album "The Politics Of Fear", Dulcinea began gigging with a full fledged line up including guitarist Paul Yong and frontman Gerard Richards.
Now, three years after the release of "The Politics Of Fear", Dulcinea is proud to release their most cohesive work yet. Progressing from the electronic and experimental sounds of the previous album, "In The Shadow Of The Sun" sees Dulcinea move towards a more organic guitar oriented sound that mixes both alternative rock music with tendencies to go off on experimental tangents.
Dulcinea will be playing at *Scape's New Year Countdown party and will be doing the album launch in February 2012.
